More customers are adding in a pre-filter to their pool equipment set up. These pre-filters (shown in this photo above the pool pump) save customers both water and time.
How do they work?
The MultiCyclone works on the basis of centrifugal water filtration. There are no moving parts and no filter media to clean or replace. Incoming water is guided by a diverter plate so that it enters multiple hydrocyclones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect. This spins the sediment out to the hydrocyclone’s wall and then spirals it down to the sediment sump, while the cleansed water spirals upwards.
Benefits
Ease filter workload MultiCyclone pre-filters up to 80% of the filter’s incoming dirt load easing the workload of the swimming pool filter. As the MultiCyclone intercepts more and more dirt, the flow rate remains unchanged.
Improving pool water circulation
Enhancing the performance of the automatic pool cleaner and in floor cleaning systems
Allowing effective pool vacuuming without burdening the pool filter
Minimising filter maintenance and saving water (less hosing out of your cartridge elements or less backwashing of your media filter). Customers who add these in their systems for example with the media filters report backwashing their filters far less than previously.
Simple maintenance
The MultiCyclone is easily cleaned by opening its purge valve. Only 15 litres of water is discharged to cleanse the MultiCyclone
